Apollo Explorer Scouts... What does that mean?
This will give you information on what Explorer Scouts are and how you can join.
Explorer Scouts are the fourth group in the Scouting family. (Beaver Scouts, Cub Scouts, Scouts, Explorer Scouts, Network, Fellowship)
It is for anybody (Male or Female) between the ages of 14 and 18 and you do not have to have been in a section before to join.

To join, all you have to do is turn up to a meeting! We do a variety of activities every week, and you do not have to pay anything until you have decided you like it (Or Tony the leader starts asking you for money!) You will get invested (like saying a promise) at an occasion of your choice. Members have been invested whilst Scuba Diving, Rock Climbing, On The Bucking Bronko and during many more fun activities.
Our group meets at St Pauls Church (or school), Alverthorpe in Wakefield. We meet on a Friday night between 7.30 and 9.30. Our Leaders are Tony Harness and Mike Hodgson. The Explorers are a range of ages and we have both Male and Female members!
We are part of a very vibrant district [Wakefield] Where everyone gets along.
We camp and take part in many activites within the district including centenary camp and BBQs!
